La Quinta, CA – 1 Injured in DUI Accident on Ave. 48 & Dune Palms Rd.

La Quinta, CA (May 2, 2019) On the afternoon of May 2^nd, a DUI accident occurred at the intersection of Avenue 48 and Dune Palms Road. A 54-year-old man named Alex Marroquin was driving on the road when he failed to stop at a red light and collided into a silver Nissan Altima. The accident happened at approximately 4:41 p.m.

When the ambulance arrived to help, they found the driver of the Nissan Altima suffering from moderate injuries and took him to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

The La Quinta Police Department are currently investigating the crash, but they have arrested Marroquin for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
