Lake Elsinore, CA – Motorcyclist Hospitalized Following Ortega Highway Vehicle Collision

Lake Elsinore, CA (January 21, 2019) – In Lake Elsinore, a motorcyclist was hospitalized after being seriously injured in a vehicle collision that took place on the Ortega Highway.

The accident happened around 2:38 p.m. on the highway that is often referred to now as State Route 74. Police are not sure what caused the initial collision, but they said that the motorcyclist initially ran into an SUV head-on, which caused the vehicles to collide with other cars in a chain reaction.

The motorcyclist was so badly injured that they had to be airlifted to a local hospital. Lines were temporarily closed down for quite some time so that an investigation could be conducted. Police are still trying to determine who is liable at this time.
