Lake Elsinore, CA – Pedestrian Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Central Avenue

Lake Elsinore, CA (August 12, 2018) – The Riverside County Fire Department reported an accident that killed a pedestrian when they were struck by a motor vehicle in the 29000 block of Central Avenue late Sunday night. The deadly crash which was reported to have taken the life of a 25-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore transpired at approximately 11:36 p.m.

The report stated that the Lake Elsinore Police Department received a call and immediately responded to the accident that happened in proximity to the intersection of Highway 74 and Cambern Avenue. Emergency crews arrived but the victim was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver who struck the victim did not stop to offer assistance or cooperate with authorities. Instead, the suspect fled the area and is currently being pursued by investigators. There was no more information released in reference to the events that led to this accident. Authorities are actively conducting a detailed and thorough investigation into the incident.
