Lakeland Village, CA – Two People Injured in DUI Accident at Blackwell Boulevard

Lakeland Village, CA (January 27, 2019) – Two people were badly injured in a DUI accident that took place near the intersection of Blackwell Boulevard and Grand Avenue around 3 a.m. yesterday.

The California Highway Patrol investigated the accident to find that 35-year-old Robert Brown had been driving a Mustang east on the Boulevard when he ran a red light at the intersection. The Mustang was instantly struck by a Honda that had a green light at the time.

The Honda SUV spun to the left and plunged down an embankment, slamming into a tree. Two occupants of the Honda received a variety of serious injuries. The driver was rushed to the hospital immediately for injuries.

Brown was partially ejected from his vehicle and has been listed in critical condition. Officials believe that Brown was under the influence at the time of the accident. They also believe that he might have been involved in an earlier hit-and-run accident and the accident remains under investigation.
