Lakeside, CA- Lakeview Rd and Julian Ave Site of Serious Motorcycle Crash

Lakeside, CA (May 10, 2019)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle crash on Monday at approximately 5:04 pm at Lakeview Road and Julian Avenue resulted in serious injuries.

The CHP report stated that an unknown vehicle and the motorcycle collided at the intersection, causing major injuries for the motorcyclist. Details about the other involved vehicle and its driver are unknown.

Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. Their current condition and identity are not known at this time.

The crash is under investigation by the CHP.

California’s Helmet Law

A report by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration found that the lives of 309 motorcyclists were saved in 2016 due to helmets. In fact, California’s Vehicle Code Section 27803 says that motorcyclists must wear helmets at all times while driving in the state.
