Lancaster, CA – One Person Dies in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash at 50th St. and East Ave.

Lancaster, CA (January 15, 2019) – This morning in the area of 50^th Street and East Avenue, at least one person lost their life in a fatal multi-vehicle crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Police say that the accident happened around 5:45 a.m. when a black Mercedes ran into a bale of hay that was left in the middle of the road. Upon closer investigation, police found that multiple bales of hay were sitting in the road when the accident took place.

Various vehicles collided with one another at the scene of the collision, including a black Jeep Cherokee and a silver SUV.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and found that multiple people were injured. One person tragically died at the scene of the accident and three other vehicles had to be towed from the scene. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
