Lancaster, CA. Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on East Avenue J

Lancaster, CA. (June 26, 2018) – According to a local news source, a woman was killed early Saturday after being struck by a vehicle on East Avenue J and Andale Avenue. The pedestrian was hit at approximately 12:50 a.m. and the motorist who struck her apparently fled the scene.

The initial investigation showed that the female pedestrian was apparently walking in a dark section of the roadway when the unknown vehicle hit and killed her. There was debris from the vehicle found at the scene, and according to investigators, it seems as though the car that struck her was possibly a 2001-2007 C-Class Mercedes.

Additionally, there was a disturbance reported in the same area shortly before the accident. Investigators have been working to determine if there is any relationship between the two incidents.
