Lathrop, CA – Three Injured after Three-Vehicle Accident on Lathrop Road

Lathrop, CA (July 13, 2018) – Local news sources reported that a three-vehicle accident took place in the 800 block of Lathrop Road near the Tidewater Bike Path. The incident occurred at approximately 7:15 PM in the evening on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. Authorities have not revealed any detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the crash at this time.

As per the report, a 1990s Mazda sedan was traveling in the eastbound lanes along Lathrop, and the driver decreased speed to give the right of way to a vehicle near the Tidewater Bike Path. Without warning, a 2016 Kia Sedona rear-ended the Mazda, which ultimately lost control and crashed into the front of a 2014 Jeep.

Afterward, rescue teams arrived at the scene and provided medical assistance. Officials confirmed all three motorists sustained non-life threatening injuries during the crash.

Teams of firefighters closed off Lathrop Road for cleanup procedures.
