Lemon Grove, CA – Arrest Made Following Serious DUI Collision on Hwy 125

Lemon Grove, CA (January 15, 2019) – On Sunday morning, police arrived at the scene of an accident to find that one person sustained serious injuries after being trapped in their vehicle. Upon closer investigation, it was discovered that the accident was a DUI collision caused by a drunk driver.

The accident took place around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 13, in the area of Troy Street on Highway 125.

At the time, police say that a blue Nissan had been driving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed. Suddenly, the vehicle crashed into two other vehicles. The force of the collision was so serious that a white SUV overturned onto its roof completely.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene, where they found at least one other person pinned in one of the vehicles. They were extricated from the vehicle and hospitalized for their injuries.

Authorities placed one person under arrest for driving under the influence at the time of the accident. No names have yet been released at this time.

The investigation into the accident continues to take place at this time.
