Lindsay, CA – Several Injured in Car Crash on Highway 65

Lindsay, CA (July 29, 2018) – According to a local and reliable news outlet in Fresno, several people, including children, were injured following a car accident on Highway 65 Saturday afternoon in Lindsay. The seriously injurious accident reportedly took place at or near Road 208 at approximately 3:30 p.m. All reports indicated that there were no more than two vehicles involved in the crash.

As per the statements made by the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Camry was heading westbound on Road 208 when at the same time a Chevrolet pickup was going northbound on Highway 65. The Toyota allegedly pulled out directly into the path of the pickup, and the two vehicles subsequently collided. The reason the driver of the Toyota had driven into the path of the pickup is currently unknown.

Seven children and two adults were confirmed by the California Highway Patrol to have suffered injuries during the accident. The degree of injury ranges between all nine victims from moderate to severe. One young girl was reported to be unresponsive at the scene of the crash. She was quickly transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where she has been listed in critical condition at this time.

All the others who were also hurt in this wreck were immediately taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment of various injuries. Neither the names nor the conditions of the victims are currently being released. There is an ongoing investigation being conducted to establish liability.
