Lodi, CA – Authorities Identify Bicyclist Killed after Violent Collision with School Bus on Kettleman Lane and School Street

Lodi, CA (August 20, 2018) – A Sacramento news source recently provided updated information concerning the bicyclist who died as the result of a violent traffic accident that took place at Kettleman Lane and School Street. The incident transpired at some time in the afternoon last Friday, August 17, 2018. As of today, the deceased victim has been identified as Salomon Rodriguez, a resident of Lodi. No details about additional parties have been revealed at this time.

According to the original report, Rodriguez had been riding a bicycle in the Lodi area when, without warning, he was sideswiped by a school bus. Stockton police explained that the bus driver had attempted to make a turn at the intersection of Kettleman Lane and School Street. In the process, the bus slammed into the bike, which had entered the left turn lane on Kettleman.

Sometime later, paramedics were dispatched to the crash site and transported Rodriguez to San Joaquin General Hospital, where later succumbed to his injuries and died.

Officers did not specify if any students had been riding on the school bus or if the driver had stopped to render aid to the bicyclist.

Presently, the investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, parties associated with Rodriguez have opened a GoFundMe page to pay to compensate for funeral expenses on part of his family.
