Lodi, CA – Fatal Seven-Vehicle Accident I-5 near Hwy. 12

Lodi, CA (May 25, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident involving several big rigs and cars occurred on May 23rd around 7:30 a.m., that took the life of two people.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this fatal accident.  According to CHP officers, the crash occurred Thursday morning on the northbound lanes of the I-5 near the Highway 12 Ramp.

The accident involved seven vehicles – one pick up truck, one car, one SUV and four big-rig trucks — at least one of which caught fire.

Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid.  The injured parties were transported to local hospitals for treatment and further evaluation. Sadly, at least two people did not survive their injuries from this accident.
