Lodi, CA – Fire Chief Stephen Butler Injured in DUI Car Accident on Kettleman Lane
Lodi, CA (July 14, 2018) – Woodbridge Rural Fire Protection District Chief Stephen Butler was reportedly the victim of an alleged DUI accident near the intersection of West Kettleman and South Ham Lanes on July 1, according to a local news source. The injurious accident occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m. when Butler was apparently traveling west on Kettleman Lane.
As per the report, Butler was struck at the intersection after another car that was traveling south on Ham Lane crashed into him. The emergency vehicle that Butler was driving had its lights and sirens on at the time of the crash. Butlers injuries were reported as relatively minor and included a bruised psyche and bruised ribs. Butler has been proudly serving his community for over 31 years.
The driver of the seemingly negligent vehicle also suffered minor injuries in the wreck. That driver was suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. The suspects’ name has not been released but they were promptly arrested on suspicion of DUI.
