Lodi, CA- Head-On Accident Kills One on Highway 99 Near Frontage Rd.

Lodi, CA (April 16, 2019)- A crash on Sunday left one dead and four injured. The crash happened at around 1:45 pm on Highway 99 close to North Frontage Road.

Reports stated that a 2000 Chrysler that was headed northbound on Highway 99 veered into the opposing lane and hit a southbound 2014 Nissan. This resulted in a head-on collision in the area between Hogan and East Harney lanes.

A female victim seated in the front passenger side of the Nissan experienced fatal injuries in the crash. Her 1-year-old daughter and 21-year-old husband were injured in the crash. Others were injured in the crash including a 56-year-old man and 56-year-old woman in the Chrysler.

Everyone hurt in the crash was taken to local hospitals. Their names, as well as the name of the woman who passed away in the crash, have not been released.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
