Long Beach, CA – Fatal Motorcycle Wreck on Lakewood Boulevard

Long Beach, CA (January 8, 2019) On the afternoon of January 8^th, a fatal motorcycle wreck happened at the intersection of Lakewood Boulevard and Willow Street. According to the reports, a motorcycle and an SUV crashed into each other for unknown reasons at approximately 12:08 p.m. The SUV had just exited the 405 Freeway when the driver switched lanes in front of the motorcyclist. The impact of the crash ejected the motorcyclist to the middle southbound lanes of Lakewood Boulevard. Unfortunately, by the time emergency crews arrived at the scene, the motorcyclist had already succumbed to his injuries. Crews shut down lanes for almost four hours as they cleared and investigated the crash site.
