Long Beach, CA – Rosalva Fierro ID’d As 49-Year-Old Woman Killed in Bixby Knolls Car Accident at Del Amo Blvd. and Orange Ave.
Long Beach, CA (June 9, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident occurred on Friday, June 7 at around 10:25 p.m., that took the life of Rosalva Fierro, 49, of Long Beach.
California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this fatal accident. According to CHP officers, the crash occurred in the Bixby Knolls area of Long Beach at the intersection of Del Amo Blvd. and Orange Ave.
A 2018 Nissan truck driven by a 20-year-old Long Beach man, was traveling eastbound on Del Amo Boulevard when he sped up to beat the light at Orange Avenue but ended broadsiding a 2003 GMC SUV that entered the intersection heading north on Orange Avenue.
Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid the injured drivers. Three men and two boys, who were the occupants of the truck, were taken to a hospital for treatment and further evaluation. Sadly, Rosalva Fierro was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
