Long Beach, CA. Victim of Fatal 4-Vehicle Crash in Long Beach, Identified as Dashaynee Williams
Long Beach, CA. (June 28, 2018) – The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office confirmed the identity of the woman killed in a motor vehicle accident on Artesia Boulevard Monday morning. 37-year-old Dashaynee Williams died from injuries she sustained in the multi-vehicle accident that took place at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 25th. Williams reportedly owns Pink Ribbon Daycare in Long Beach and four children were injured during the accident, although it is unclear whether or not Williams was working at the time.
The crash occurred when Williams was driving her red 1998 Ford Expedition down Artesia Boulevard and was struck by a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The driver of the Jeep apparently blew through a red light while traveling south on Cherry Avenue. The Jeep also crashed into a black 2008 GMC Yukon SUV and a gray 2013 Kia Optima. Both of those vehicles were stopped at the traffic light in the northbound lanes of Cherry Avenue. The impact of the collision sent Williams’ Ford into a light post.
Firefighters and paramedics arrived on the scene to assist the victims of the crash. Williams along with four children were all injured in the accident. Williams was seriously injured and died later at the hospital, while the children who also went to the hospital suffered minor injuries. A full investigation into the crash is currently ongoing in order to determine whether or not charges will be brought against the negligent driver. We send our deepest condolences to the family members and loved ones of Dashaynee Williams.
