Los Angeles, CA – Claudia Lopez Arrested for DUI Accident That Caused Injuries

Los Angeles, CA (February 3, 2019) – Claudia Lopez, an off-duty Long Beach Police Department detective who caused a DUI accident that led to injuries, has been arrested for the crime.

The crash took place around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday on the 405 Freeway. At the time, 43-year-old Claudia Lopez was driving an Audi headed southbound when she suddenly slammed into a 2014 Honda being driven by a 55-year-old from Los Angeles.

The impact was so forceful that it caused the Honda to crash into a Hyundai. The driver was quickly transported to the hospital with a variety of major injuries. The driver of the Hyundai did not have any injuries.

Lopez was arrested and booked in jail with a $100,000 bail. At this time, the accident is still being investigated.
