Los Angeles, CA. Deadly Accident Involving Motorcycle and Tractor-Trailer on I-5 Freeway

Los Angeles, CA. (July 9, 2018) – California Highway Patrol reported an accident involving a motorcycle and a large tractor-trailer that took place in the northbound lanes of the Interstate 5 Freeway Monday morning. The fatal collision occurred at approximately 9:43 a.m. on the interstate at Downey Road.

Reportedly, the crash happened in the No.2 lane of the freeway where a man on a motorcycle was apparently found underneath a tractor-trailer. The Los Angeles County Fire Department was immediately called to the scene and promptly arrived in order to provide assistance to the victim. Emergency responders were sadly helpless as the man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The aftermath of the collision reportedly left three lanes blocked, which resulted in police issuing a SigAlert. There is presently no more information available concerning the events that led up to this tragic collision. The name of the victim has not been released. Police are currently investigating the crash in order to determine liability.
