Los Angeles, CA – Deadly Hit-and-Run Accident on Lancaster Boulevard at Elm Avenue

Los Angeles, CA (August 4, 2018) – According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lancaster Station, a man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Lancaster Boulevard early Saturday morning. The deadly accident that took place at the intersection of Lancaster Boulevard and Elm Avenue was reported to have occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m.

Deputies stated that a male pedestrian was standing outside of a black sedan and talking to a person inside the vehicle. The sedan was parked on the side of Lancaster Avenue when a full-sized white truck that was heading east on the same road reportedly struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene.

The catastrophically injured pedestrian was immediately rushed to a local hospital by medical personnel who arrived on the scene. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the black sedan who the victim had been talking to reportedly fled the scene of the incident as well.

Both drivers are currently being searched for by authorities. The driver who struck the man is believed to have been driving a Dodge or a Chevrolet truck. Investigators are actively examining all factors of this accident.
