Los Angeles, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Area of Whittier Boulevard

Los Angeles, CA (January 19, 2019) – Police say that a fatal pedestrian accident took the life of one person after a driver struck them and fled the scene at a local intersection. The accident took place in the area of Whittier Boulevard and Indiana Street on Wednesday night.

Around 8:25 p.m., police say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. Fire department and paramedics officials came to the scene of the accident, where the pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead. Their name has not yet been released, as their family is still being notified at this time.

Paramedics say that the pedestrian was found in the middle of the road at the scene of the accident. Police confirmed that the driver fled the scene immediately after striking the pedestrian.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
