Los Angeles, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101
Los Angeles, CA – (November 20, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred Tuesday morning in the Echo Park neighborhood. The crash took place on Highway 101 near Glendale Boulevard around 3 am.
Reportedly, an unidentified pedestrian was walking along the roadway in the Echo Park neighborhood on Highway 101, when suddenly an oncoming vehicle struck the victim. Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after the crash took place and found the pedestrian lying in the roadway suffering from life-threatening injuries. Emergency personnel attempted to revive the pedestrian but sadly the victim died at the scene of the accident. The crash caused a closure of two northbound lanes of Highway 101 as the scene was examined. Police are still trying to determine the events that led up to the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
