Los Angeles, CA – Francisco Hernandez Rivas Killed in DUI Accident on N Haskell Ave

Los Angeles, CA (June 17, 2019) On the morning of June 16^th, a fatal DUI accident happened near the intersection of Haskell Avenue and Parthenia Street. A white Lexus and a blue SUV collided in the 8700 block of North Haskell Avenue at approximately 5:39 a.m. A pickup truck was also somehow involved and sustained damages to its hood.

When the Los Angeles Fire Department and the paramedics arrived, they found the driver of the SUV dead at the scene. He has been identified as 48-year-old Francisco Hernandez Rivas. The other occupant inside of the SUV sustained injuries, along with the three passengers inside of the Lexus. All four injured victims were transported to the nearest hospital and were listed in serious condition.

Sadly, the driver of the Lexas fled the scene on foot. The police suspect that the woman was under the influence of alcohol since beer cans were found inside of her car. They also believe she ran a red light and struck the SUV. Once they find and arrest her, she is expected to face charges.
