Our thoughts are with the injured bicyclist and his family at this time as we continue to pray for a complete recovery.
Rear-End Bicycle Crashes
Being in a rear-end type car crash can be terrifying. This common type of car accident has the potential to cause whiplash and other painful injuries. Being rear-ended by a car while on your bike is even more dangerous. In fact, the League of American Bicyclists’ Every Bicyclist Counts report noted that rear-ending crashes account for 40% of fatal bike crashes. This kind of accident can lead to head injuries, facial fractures, and broken bones throughout the body.
Drivers are responsible for looking out for bicyclists. In an accident between a vehicle and a bicycle, the bicycle is likely to sustain far more damage than the vehicle.
