Los Angeles, CA – LAPD Officer Struck in Serious Pedestrian Accident on Parthenia Street

Los Angeles, CA (January 15, 2019) – On Sunday, January 13, an LAPD officer was injured in a serious pedestrian accident that took place around 2:45 a.m. on Parthenia Street.

At the time of the accident, the road was closed due to an accident. The officer was manning the area of Parthenia Street where it took place when a passing silver Chevy Tahoe suddenly struck the officer’s police cruiser and the officer.

Firefighters and paramedics immediately responded to the scene, where they found the LAPD officer with serious injuries. The officer, whose name has not yet been released, was immediately transported to an area hospital for injury treatment. Their condition is not known at this time.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the officer was detained following the accident. At this time, police are investigating the accident as a street racing matter and are attempting to determine liability.
