Pedestrian Accidents in California
California is known for having one of the highest amounts of pedestrian accidents than any other state. In fact, our state is known for having a large number of car accidents in general that cause serious injuries and even fatalities to those involved. Many laws have been enacted to protect pedestrians from harm; however, every year, drivers of motor vehicles continue to disobey the rules of the road and engage in distracted driving, intoxicated driving, speeding, and other actions that cause harm to pedestrians.
An investigation is taking place at this time to determine many factors in this accident, such as the right-of-way and who was at fault for this particular incident. If the driver is found to be liable, the pedestrian officer could bring a claim against the negligent driver for their actions. You might have the right to bring a pedestrian accident claim as you move forward so that you can receive financial compensation to make you feel whole again.
