Facts About Motorcycle Crashes in California
A 2017 report by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety found that 4,976 people died in motorcycle accidents that year. The IIHS report stated as well that California and Florida are the top states for motorcycle ownership in the U.S.
Due to the high amount of motorcycles on the road in California, all drivers must keep motorcyclists in mind. Driving a motorcycle differs from driving a car. Braking distance, the smaller size of motorcycles compared with cars, and other factors must be taken into consideration when it comes to motorcycle safety.
