Los Angeles, CA – Ten People Severely Injured after Deadly Multi-Vehicle Accident on West 59th Street in Vermont-Slauson Neighborhood

Los Angeles, CA (August 10, 2018) – Local news sources reported that ten people in total sustained severe injuries as the result of a deadly multi-vehicle traffic accident that took place on 474 West 59th Place in the vicinity of Figueroa Street. This location is close to the 110 Freeway and in the same area as the 61st Street Elementary School, in the neighborhood of Vermont-Slauson. Authorities initially logged the incident a little after 3:30 PM in the afternoon on Thursday, August 9, 2018.

According to a report from the Los Angeles Fire Department, multiple vehicles were traveling in the Vermont-Slauson area and, for indeterminate reasons, collided along West 59th Place. Sometime later, emergency teams were dispatched to the crash site and rendered medical aid to the ten people who sustained injuries during the accident.

Later, medical personnel transported the victims to a nearby hospital, where they received treatment for severe injuries. At this time, eight victims were listed in severe condition, while two others were in a more critical state.
