Los Angeles, CA – Three Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash
Los Angeles, CA (December 14, 2018) On the 9th of December, a hit-and-run crash happened at the intersection of Hoover Street and Florence Avenue. According to the reports, a 24-year-old named Jazmin Torres was making a left turn when a black Chevrolet Camaro struck her vehicle at about 8:55 p.m. One of the vehicles crashed into a pole due to the impact of the collision. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they tended to Torres and the two 9-year-old girls in her car. Torres was not injured but the two girls were transported to the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in medically induced comas.
The driver of the Camaro obtained major injuries. He was racing a black Ford Mustang at a high speed right before he hit Torres’ car. The driver of the Mustang fled the scene but is described as having black rims, a black rear wing spoiler and a light-colored interior.
We are very sorry to hear that two innocent girls are in comas caused by this accident. Our hearts go out to their families during this devastating time. We also hope the other driver recovers from his injuries as well.
Vehicle Accidents in California
Recent studies show that speeding accounts for about 30% of all vehicle accidents in the United States. When drivers decide to drive above the speed limit, they’re violating the rules of the road by driving reckless and putting everyone around them at risk. Driving too fast makes it almost impossible to avoid crashing into other vehicles that decide to switch lanes or brake at the last minute.
The police are currently investigating this accident and searching for the other driver who was racing the Camaro. Both drivers will likely be held liable for this accident since they were both committing acts of negligence by racing on the road. The two girls’ parents could file personal injury lawsuits with the help of a California personal injury attorney.
