Authorities have revealed the cause of the crash to be a chain reaction collision. A van was stopped at a red light on Mercey Springs Rd southbound, with a pickup truck immediately behind. A white sedan collided with the back of the pickup truck which caused for the truck to hit the van in front of it.
One patient was found to have sustained injuries after the event. He or she was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention and treatment.
Officials have alleged the cause of the accident to be unsafe speed and inattention while driving. However, no one has been charged as being liable for the event at this time.
The case is still ongoing, and officials will make more information public as it continues.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope everyone will be able to make a full recovery.
