The authorities are certainly heading up an investigation into this accident that will likely set its sights on establishing negligent behavior. The investigators may primarily look into whether or not distracted driving, excessive speed, and/or intoxication played a role in the collision. Upon the conclusive findings of the investigation, there may very well be solid grounds for a serious personal injury lawsuit to follow.
After suffering a serious injury, many victims opt to file a claim for financial compensation. That choice is largely due to the terribly high costs that immediately arise after an accident. Hospital bills, future medical expenses, property damage, and loss of wages are all extremely viable reasons why most victims seek representation. While we are passionate about holding negligent drivers accountable for the physical, emotional, and financial pain that they cause, only the victim can make the decision to file a lawsuit.
