Madera, CA – One Killed in Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash at Avenue 9 and Road 30

Madera, CA (July 28, 2018) – According to a report that was released by the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash that resulted in at least one death occurred at an intersection Saturday morning in Madera. The deadly collision reportedly took place at the intersection of Avenue 9 and Road 30 at approximately 11:12 a.m.

According to the report that was filed by the California Highway Patrol, a white sedan and a Ford pickup truck were involved in the accident for reasons that are currently unknown. Following the impact, the sedan reportedly caught on fire as the Ford truck overturned due to the impact of the accident.

Two people were pinned inside one of the vehicles when emergency responders arrived on the scene. Those victims required extrication to be freed from their vehicle. At least one other person had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital to be treated for their injuries. At least one person was reported to have died during the accident, although no other details concerning the victims were released.

There was no other information made available about the cause of this accident. Authorities are working diligently to establish the events that led to the devastating accident.
