Major Crash at Highway 99 in Yuba City

Yuba City, CA (June 15, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a major traffic accident that caused severe injuries to those involved.

The accident occurred on Highway 99 at Stewart Road around 1:30 p.m., and involved two vehicles. A green Honda Pilot collided with a Toyota Camry at the intersection of the two roads, causing the Honda Pilot to block the intersection and cause subsequent traffic delays.

Upon arriving at the scene, the Yuba City Police and paramedic crews discovered that multiple parties had sustained major injuries, though the number of victims was not disclosed to the public. The victims were moved to a local hospital to receive care for their injuries and their conditions are unclear at this time. The names of those involved in the accident have not been disclosed to the public. 

An investigation is ongoing to best determine the exact nature of the accident and who may be at fault. After securing statements and documenting the scene, authorities cleared the accident from the flow of traffic.
