Malibu, CA – Five People Hospitalized Following Head-on Collision on Malibu Canyon Road

Malibu, CA (August 6, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a head-on collision that resulted in the injuries of five people on Malibu Canyon Road on Sunday night. The immensely injurious crash that reportedly took place in an unincorporated area transpired at around 8:00 p.m. in the vicinity of Piuma Road.

As per the report released by the police, the driver of a Ford Mustang was apparently engaged in reckless driving just before it struck a Kia head-on. The two cars were reported as the only vehicles involved in the collision.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department stated that firefighters along with paramedics were immediately called to the scene in an effort to assist the victims. The emergency responders treated a total of five people for the wounds they suffered in the accident. An air ambulance was called to the scene and it was confirmed that at least one person had to be airlifted to a local hospital to undergo treatment for major injuries. There was no word as to the conditions of the other victims.
