Motorcycle Crashes in California
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reported that 4,976 people were killed on motorcycles in 2017. The IIHS also noted that Florida and California are the states in the U.S. with the largest number of motorcycles.
In order to keep the number of motorcycle fatalities low in California, drivers of all vehicles need to keep the high number of motorcyclists on California roads in mind. Sometimes distracted car or truck drivers cause serious injury to motorcyclists.
