Marina, CA- Driver Hits and Kills Man in Parked Car on Hwy 1 at Reservation Rd

Marina, CA (June 6, 2019)- The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash on Tuesday at the southbound Highway 1 on-ramp for Reservation Road. The accident took place at approximately 9:25 am when a 2005 Subaru crashed into a parked 2016 Kia as the Subaru driver drove onto the Reservation Road on-ramp.

The Kia driver, a 72-year-old Monterey resident, was killed in the collision. His identification has not been made known to the public pending family notification.

The Subaru driver is currently facing vehicular manslaughter charges. Substances are not believed to be a factor in the accident.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
