Mariposa County, CA – Harold Treadway Injured in Head-On Collision on Highway 49

Mariposa County, CA (January 30, 2019) On the afternoon of January 29^th, a fatal head-on collision happened along Highway 49 at around 1:00 p.m., just north of Wass Road. According to the reports, a 64-year-old man named Harold S. Treadway was driving a Volvo 3-axle truck north on the highway simultaneously as a 2014 Subaru Forester was traveling south. When Treadway approached a left-hand curve, the Subaru somehow ended up in the oncoming lanes and crashed into Volvo truck.

When emergency crews arrived to help, they found Treadway suffering from moderate injuries and transported him to John C. Fremont hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the 83-year-old driver of the Subaru suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash.

The police are currently investigating this accident to determine causation and liability.
