Martinez, CA – Injuries Sustained in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 4

Martinez, CA – (November 16, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a violent collision that occurred Friday morning on Highway 4 in Martinez. The accident took place at approximately 5:54 am, just west of the Franklin Canyon Road off-ramp.

Reportedly, a black Mercedes and a white Cargo truck were traveling on Highway 4 heading westbound, when suddenly the two vehicles violently crashed into each other. Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident and rendered aid to the motorists who sustained injuries upon impact of the collision. Tow trucks were used to remove vehicle wreckage and debris from the roadway. Police are still trying to establish the probable cause of the accident.

The California Highway Patrol has assumed authority over this investigation.
