Martinez, CA – Two Police Officers Injured in DUI Accident on Interstate 680

Martinez, CA (April 16, 2019) On the morning of April 14th, a DUI accident happened on the Interstate 680 Freeway just after 5:00 a.m.

According to the reports, a drunk driver rear-ended a patrol vehicle that contained two police officers. Both vehicles were headed in the same direction on the highway when the accident occurred.

When the ambulance made it to the scene, they found two police officers suffering from injuries and immediately took them to a nearby facility for treatment.

The police are still investigating, but shortly after the accident, they arrested the 22-year-old driver on suspicion of driving under the influence.
