Marysville, CA- 3-Vehicle Crash Injures One on Hwy 20 Near Marysville Rd

Marysville, CA (March 29, 2019)- The California Highway Patrol reported a multi-vehicle collision that seriously injured one victim on Highway 20 (Browns Valley Road) on Thursday. The accident occurred at 3:30 pm in the area east of the Yuba River near Marysville Road.

The cars involved in the crash included a blue Toyota Camry and two SUVs, one of which was described as silver.

The accident started when the three vehicles hit each other in the eastbound lanes of Hwy 20. The collision sent the Camry down a 40-foot embankment. The silver SUV received major damage. The other SUV received front-end damage.

Emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene to treat at least one person with major injuries. This victim was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.

The name and condition of the injured party have not been released.

The cause of the accident is unknown. However, witnesses reported that one of the drivers was driving recklessly just prior to the collision.

The CHP is investigating the case.
