Mateo County, California – Traffic Accident on Southbound 280 Freeway Leaves Two Injured
Mateo County, California (June 26, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that two people were injured during a two-vehicle traffic accident that took place on the southbound 280 Freeway, north of the off-ramp near Sand Hill Road, in Mateo County. The incident occurred at approximately 8:49 AM in the morning on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Authorities have not revealed any information related to the identities of the drivers or passengers involved in the crash.
As CHP reports indicated, a black Honda Civic and unidentified vehicle collided in the southbound lanes of 280. Afterward, paramedics rush to the scene to transported two victims to a nearby hospital, where they received treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Authorities have not revealed the physical conditions of any other victims.
Following the crash, tow trucks removed the Honda and another vehicle from the roadway. At present, the investigation is ongoing. As more evidence begins to surface, more information will be released to the public.
