McFarland, CA – Two Seriously Injured in Motor Vehicle Accident with Tractor-Trailer on Garces Highway and Highway 43

McFarland, CA (July 30, 2018) – Two people reportedly suffered major injuries following a collision on Monday afternoon in the vicinity of Garces Highway and Highway 43, according to the California Highway Patrol. The injurious incident was logged by authorities at approximately 3:16 p.m.

As per the report that was filed by the California Highway Patrol, officials stated that a tractor-trailer collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of Garces Highway and Highway 43. Responders on the scene found one of the occupants of the pickup truck outside of the vehicle, although it is uncertain as to whether or not that person was ejected from the pickup.

Paramedics along with officials from the fire department responded to the scene of the accident in order to assist the two victims who were seriously injured in the crash. The two majorly injured victims were quickly rushed to Kern Medical to receive treatment for their wounds. The intersection was blocked following the crash but was reopened about an hour later.

No further information was made available in regards to the events that led to the crash. Likewise, neither the names nor the current conditions of the victims have been released. Authorities are presently conducting a detailed investigation into the accident.
