Merced County, CA – Motorcyclist Injured after Collision with Small Sports Vehicle along Highway 165 and 2nd Avenue
Merced County, CA (August 30, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that a motorcyclist sustained injuries as the result of a collision with a small sports vehicle along Highway 165 and 2nd Avenue. The accident took place at approximately 9:32 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the motorcyclist and the motorist involved in the crash has been revealed.
According to the initial CHP report, the unidentified motorcyclist had been traveling in the Merced County area when, for indeterminate reasons, it collided with the larger vehicle. Sometime later, emergency personnel discovered the rider had been thrown to the roadway and paramedics rendered medical aid to the victim, who sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the impact.
After the crash, tow trucks removed the wrecked motorcycle from the crash site.
Officials did not specify if the driver of the sports vehicle was injured during the accident.
