Merced, CA – Peter Manston Killed in Fatal Truck Collision on Highway 99
Merced, CA (March 14, 2019) – On the afternoon of March 14th, a fatal truck accident happened on Highway 99 around 2:00 p.m.
According to the reports, a 67-year-old named Peter Manston was driving a 1990 Toyota Tacoma north on CA-99, near Childs Avenue, when his truck veered into the center median. Manston tried to straighten the truck and get back on the roadway, but an upcoming vehicle was in the right lane. Manston ultimately lost control of the truck and slammed into the center median again, which caused the truck to roll over multiple times before landing on its passenger side.
When the paramedics arrived, they found Manston suffering from minor injuries and transported him to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. Unfortunately, they found his 67-year-old passenger dead at the scene after being ejected from the vehicle.
The police are currently investigating to determine what led Manston’s truck to veer off the roadway.
