Mettler, CA – Shannon Nicole West Killed in Fatal Car Accident on Highway 99
Mettler, CA (April 29, 2019) On the 26th of April, a fatal car accident happened on Highway 99 near Copus Road. According to the reports, a BMW was traveling southbound on the highway when it drove through a stop sign and collided with a Dodge pickup truck.
When the paramedics arrived, they found the passenger in the BMW, 27-year-old Shannon Nicole West, dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge complained of feeling pain but was not transported to the hospital for further treatment. The driver of the BMW, Robert Giron, suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
The police are still investigating the crash, but they have arrested Giron for felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.
