Modesto, CA. 1 Woman Killed in Fatal Crash on Pelandale Avenue

Modesto, CA. (July 6, 2018) – A local and reliable news source reported an accident that took place on Pelandale Avenue Friday afternoon and resulted in the death of an elderly woman. Reports stated that the Modesto Police Department responded to the crash that also resulted in the injury of the driver.

The collision reportedly occurred between a dark-colored SUV and a small silver sedan on Pelandale, at the intersection near the Costco Shopping Center. Thus far the investigation has reported that one of the drivers involved was apparently attempting to turn into the Costco Shopping Center when the two vehicles collided with one another.  One driver was reportedly traveling westbound on Pelandale while the other was heading eastbound. The eastbound driver made the turn into the shopping center just before the collision.

It is presently unknown whether or not the elderly woman died from the impact of the crash, or if her death was due to a medical issue. A thorough investigation is currently being conducted in order to determine who may be liable for this incident. The events that led to the crash are also being investigated.
