Modesto, CA – Several Injured in Car Accident on Claus Road

Modesto, CA (July 22, 2018) – According to a local and trustworthy news source in Modesto, several people sustained injuries following a motor vehicle accident on Clause Road Saturday evening. The injurious collision that occurred in the vicinity of Terminal and Santa Fe Avenues reportedly took place at approximately 6:15 p.m.

The report that was released stated that a Lincoln Town car was traveling northwest on Santa Fe Avenue just before the crash. The Town car apparently ran through a stop sign for reasons that are presently not known. A Range Rover that was traveling south on Claus Road subsequently crashed into the Town car which was sent into an uncontrollable spin before finally halting in a ditch off the roadway near the railroad tracks.

The initial statements that were released said that two people ended up trapped inside the Town car after the crash. Emergency responders were called to the scene to help the victims. Both parties inside the Town car were extricated from the vehicle and immediately transported to hospitals in critical condition. Occupants inside the Range Rover reportedly suffered injuries as well, however, they were all considered to be suffering from minor wounds and declined any treatment at the scene.

No more information was made available pertaining to the cause of the collision, and no names have been released. The events that led to this accident are currently under investigation.
