Modesto, CA – Tanner Thorson, An Auto Racer From Nevada, Injured in Crash on Highway 99
Modesto, CA (March 10, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident involving well-known auto racer, Tanner Thorson, 22, of Carson City, occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, March 5th. The accident happened on Highway 99, located just south of Hatch Road, just before 4:00 a.m.
The accident involved three other vehicles in the northbound lanes of the highway. Thorson’s 2019 Ford pickup hit the rear of a 2015 Freightliner semi that was being driven by Daniel Hernandez, 29, of Merced.
Thorson, who was towing a trailer that was carrying his Tri-C Motorsports sprint car, suffered a broken arm and foot in the accident.
Thorson was transported to Memorial Medical Center and required surgery. Hernandez was not injured in the collision.
