Modesto, CA – Norma Quattrin Dies in Accident on Pelandale Avenue

Modesto, California (July 10, 2018) – Modesto local news sources reported that a fatal two-vehicle accident took place outside a Costco shopping center on Pelandale Avenue. The incident occurred at some time on Friday, July 6, 2018. Authorities have identified the deceased victim as 86-year old Norma Quattrin. At this time, officials have not disclosed any detailed information concerning the identity of the second driver involved in the collision.

Based on the reports, Quattrin was driving a Ford Fiesta along Pelandale Avenue when, for indeterminate reasons, she sped through a red light. Without warning, the Ford plowed into the side of a Nissan that was turning left out of the Costco parking lot. As a result of the impact, Quattrin lost control of the Ford, which plowed into a sign located in the center road divider.

After the crash, paramedics transported Quattrin to a nearby hospital, where she died. Officials have not clarified if she died as a result of the accident or an underlying medical condition.

Medical personnel did confirm the Nissan driver sustained non-life threatening injuries.
