Moreno Valley, CA – Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Old 215 Frontage Road
Moreno Valley, CA – (November 28, 2018) – The Sheriff’s Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian Monday in Moreno Valley. The accident happened at an unspecified time on Old 215 Frontage Road, just south of Cottonwood Avenue.
Per the initial report, a Moreno woman was walking along Old 215 Frontage Road when for unknown reasons she was struck by a vehicle. The driver failed to stop and fled the scene of the accident leaving the woman to die in the roadway. When first responders arrived they desperately attempted to revive the woman but sadly, despite rescue efforts, she died of her injuries at the scene. As per the Sheriff’s Department report, evidence collected at the crash site led police to the identification and subsequent arrest of 53-year-old Phillips Jones, of Moreno Valley.
As of now, this accident is under investigation.
